The hike itself is somewhat tricky because the path is narrow and/or steep at times, but never dangerous. Wouldn't recommend if you are in poor health, but for most people it's fine. We got to see a couple of waterfalls and even stopped to hang out in the water at one of them. The trail is mostly shaded but quite humid and warm (like everything in this part of Costa Rica).

The lunch was great too, a home-cooked meal from Humberto's wife which was really tasty and a good welcome for us to authentic Costa Rican cuisine.

Overall a great experience!

There's a lot... read more of commercial places that take you on tours that want you in and out. This is not the place. This place is magical and pure Costa Rican at its best. If you want to have a magical time with your family, whether it's a great hike to waterfall or a awesome night tour, this is a must.

A life-changing experience  - It’s hard to explain how amazing this experience was We basically got a private tour, just my wife, myself, and Enrique who owns the beautiful land We spent... read more the day hiking these amazing mountains, which ended up at these beautiful waterfalls The fact that him and his brother carved these primitive paths on the side of these mountains is amazing in itself, but getting to spend the day with such an amazing person and him sharing his life with us was very special we never wanted to leave No words can truly describe the experience of that day and it brings joyful tears to my eyes just thinking about it Enrique is a special man who takes great care of a special place on earth and if you’re ever in Costa Rica, and you can handle the rustic terrain, this place is life-changing thank you Sir for sharing the day with us. Don’t miss this experience!  - Wow! What an incredible way to get out and see all the beauty that is this region of Costa Rica. We hiked to three incredible waterfalls and learned about the... read more wildlife and plant life native to this region. We were four adults and three children (13, 11, 9) and while some parts of the hike were more challenging for the younger children, everyone is still raving about the experience. Enrique and Humberto were so helpful and went out of their way to ensure the children were engaged and so incredibly friendly. The hike ended with a perfectly timed swim in the swimming hole that felt almost medicinal! And then an incredible lunch made with produce grown on their property, which was devoured by all in our party. Please don’t miss this!
